An important part of the CVPC's role is to coordinate collaborative work between partner organizations with shared or overlapping needs and interests. The Center assists with linking public- and private-sector partners with appropriate equipment and operational environments for testing their connected vehicle products and services. The overarching goal is to create synergies among partners in the connected vehicle spectrum and catalyze the swift development and maturation of connected vehicle applications. In this role, we bring together leading automotive suppliers, universities, transportation agencies, telecommunications firms, and other organizations developing connected vehicle technology. By serving as a neutral facilitator that can protect each participant's intellectual property, the CVPC can leverage collaborative efforts that otherwise are difficult or impossible to achieve.

The CVPC offers several options for partnership. Depending on the needs of your organization, the CVPC can tailor a partnership agreement with your organization that taps into one or more of these options, which include:
  • Join the CVPC Associates Program by making a financial contribution and thereby gain access to many of the Center's services and capabilities
  • Contribute hardware, software, or services to the CVPC
  • Collaborate with the CVPC to use its facilities to perform tests and/or evaluation of your connected vehicle concepts and technologies
