The CVPC at the University of Michigan - Dearborn is a unique activity combining research, testing, evaluation and economic development. Dedicated to advancing Autonomous and Connected Vehicle technologies and their introduction into the market place, the CVPC staff is dedicated to providing objective, scientific and enabling services to academia, industry and public agencies.


WAVE Conference and Seminar  Held by the Connected Vehicle Proving Center at the College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, both the WAVE Conference & WAVE Seminar bring together leading researchers, engineers and managers from industry, government and academia to discuss technical issues and research related to Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE), Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC), Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANET), Intelligent transportation systems (ITS), Telemetric and IntelliDriveSM.

Alliance Program A CVPC organized industry partnership program, establishes a unique affiliation of industry participants, coming together to collectively advance the state of the Connected Vehicle market through networking, timely awareness and collaborative efforts to mobilize industry and/or government sponsors to fund projects deemed valuable.

Developers Program A CVPC led academia and industry cooperation program that brings together researchers to explore research opportunities related to autonomous and connected vehicles. Participants share information regarding their expertise, research assets and areas of interest, exchange information regarding research opportunities and forms dream-teams to win proposal and maximize success.

Testing Through collaboration with the Michigan Department of Transportation and other organizations, the CVPC provides customers with a unique opportunity to test their connected vehicle technologies.

Evaluation The CVPC is developing a state-of-the-art network operating center that provides an excellent backbone for collecting test and evaluation data. In addition, CVPC staff members are experts in the design of transportation system evaluations.
